Our Curriculum
At Wee Care Christian Preschool...
The most important goal of our curriculum is to build a childhood program that allows children to grow and mature as Jesus did, (“...in wisdom and stature and in favor with God and man” Luke 2:52), and to help children become enthusiastic learners.
Activities are designed to meet the needs of three and four year olds at their level in all areas of development : physical, mental, social, emotional, and spiritual.
To accomplish this we utilize Wee Learn Curriculum. This special curriculum provides:
•Guidance and activities in each unit to help children develop reading, writing and math skills appropriate to his or her stage of development.•Weekly units which provide opportunities for children to learn about God’s world and how we live in it.•A foundation for understanding God, Jesus, the Bible, the Church, self and others, and the natural world.The activities we plan for children, the way we organize the environment, select materials, plan the schedule, and talk with the children are all designed to accomplish the goals of our curriculum and give your child a successful start in school.
In addition to the Wee Learn Curriculum, our teachers incorporate the Arkansas Early Childhood Education Framework and Benchmarks into their lesson plans and assessments. We feel this gives your child a solid foundation for entering into their primary education years.
